House-cum-blackboard for the literacy class in a village

This ancient tree grows outside the Chief’s compound in a small village in the Tolon-Katinga district of Ghana. The tree provides shelter and is used as a place for people to gather for community events and also is where the literacy classes are held. You can still see the teachings from the last lesson on the blackboard, painted on the side of someone’s house.
